The LTSS Care Management Experience Survey: A Tool to Enhance Contracting Between CBOs and Healthcare Entities

A significant challenge experienced by community-based organizations (CBO) in contracting with health care entities is health care partners’ reluctance to share data on the outcomes of CBO services. In response, the health plans workgroup of the Trailblazers Learning Collaborative developed a standard long-term services and supports (LTSS) care management client experience survey. The tool was based on CMS’s new Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) for LTSS and on measures used by top agencies across the country. If broadly used by aging and disability CBOs, this survey and other tools developed by the health plans workgroup will enhance readiness to partner by providing CBOs with data to demonstrate their value and by allowing CBOs to benchmark and improve the quality of their services. This webinar will describe the care management experience survey, explain how to use it, and why it’s important.
