Building the Business Case
Once an organization has decided to pursue health care partnerships and has completed the Opportunity Assessment, which helps identify partnership opportunities, it is ready to initiate conversations with potential partners. This tool will guide organizations through the development of a compelling case to use when approaching potential partners and contract discussions and will help organizations frame their value propositions in a way that will resonate with potential health care partners. Organizations using this Excel spreadsheet-based tool will provide information on six tabs to map out proposed services, identify costs and volumes, identify incentives and frame the value of partnership. Though some organizations may consider presenting the same service to multiple potential partners, organizations should develop a business case for each individual service and partner as the business case will be unique for each.
