Over the past year, we’ve talked a lot about the need to increase health equity. But how do we take action? Where can we have the greatest impact? How do we best approach and engage members in their health?

We have a unique opportunity right now. Health equity has been a national conversation for more than a year now. Now is the time to usher in a new era of whole person, whole community care. Too often, health care approaches people from one-fits-all perspective, which doesn’t work. Who we are as people matters, especially when it comes to health care.

Changing this approach begins with inclusion. Inclusion of people from all cultures. We need to build a system where health care belongs to everyone. The first step is getting to know your members. You can start learning more about your members by gaining insight through developing a 360-degree understanding of members and their lives. And most importantly, by building the trust members need to feel safe sharing critical information with you, such as race, ethnicity, language, and other important social determinates of health data so you can better serve them.

This webinar will provide a pragmatic approach to addressing health equity by delivering insights into how to get to know members, particularly those in underserved communities.
