Nonprofit leaders tend to assume that if they have insurance and perform financial audits, they are covered from a risk management perspective. But nothing could be further from the truth. Effective risk management requires committing to a regular process of looking for threats and opportunities in every part of the organization—operations, IT, talent management, reputation management and others—then prioritizing and addressing those issues and improving routines over time.
In this lively and engaging webinar, Ted Bilich, founder and CEO of Risk Alternatives LLC, and Linda Levin, National Association of Area Agencies on Aging board member and CEO of ElderSource in Jacksonville, FL, will explain how to begin using risk-management tools to gain greater clarity, resilience and sustainability in any organization. Participants will leave this presentation with practical, actionable tools and a timeline of steps to take to immediately make a measurable difference in your organization.
Let’s face it: The nonprofit business model is extremely challenging in the best of times, and these are not the best of times. Any organization not doing risk management is in peril. Participants will learn about a research-based, readily replicable set of practices that will materially improve a nonprofit’s performance and safeguard its stewardship of older adult service populations. These new tools are revolutionizing nonprofit practices. The tools are turnkey solutions, so participants will leave the session with a roadmap for practical improvement. Bilich and Levin emphasize audience involvement and engagement. Participants should come prepared to roll up their sleeves, get working and have fun.
