The CHRONIC Care Act— a path to better care for older adults

This article from July- August 2018 issue of Aging Today offers an overview of the recently passed CHRONIC Care Act. Healthcare spending has increased exponentially over the years, but this increase in monetary costs has not translated into quality of care. The CHRONIC Care Act helps to foster a more person-centered approach to care by providing more flexibility to cover non-medical benefits to better manage complex care and social determinant of health needs of people with Medicare.
