Introducing The 4Ms Framework for an Age-Friendly Health System

A new video developed by Rush University’s Center for Excellence in Aging, Introducing the 4Ms Framework for an Age-Friendly Health System, provides insight into the concept of age-friendly health systems—and how they benefit both older adults and communities. The Age-Friendly Health Systems Initiative is led by The John A. Hartford Foundation and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, in partnership with the American Hospital Association and the Catholic Health Association of the United States and has the goal of ensuring that 20 percent of health systems in the United States be age-friendly by the end of 2020. The initiative hopes to achieve this by addressing the 4Ms: What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility. Learn more by watching the video.
