Economic Justice for Aging Communities

This session will focus on economic justice challenges and solutions for older adults. They include ways to measure economic security, as well as the impact of income, housing, transportation, health care, long-term services and supports and food on the economic security of older adults. The webinar will include suggestions for engaging in client-level advocacy as well as broader advocacy to promote economic justice for older adults.

Participants in this webinar will be able to:

  • Define economic justice
  • Identify the role of housing, health care, LTSS, nutrition and transportation in economic security
  • Identify the role of advocacy in promoting economic justice

Lynn Kimball, MSW, is the executive director of Aging and Long-Term Care of Eastern Washington, an Area Agency on Aging that serves a mix of urban and rural counites in Washington State.
