2021 Advancing Partnerships: Contracting Between Community-Based Organizations and Health Care Entities

Administered in partnership with Scripps Gerontology Center, the Aging and Disability Business Institute’s 2021 CBO-Health Care Contracting Survey measures the extent to which aging and disability community-based organizations (CBOs) are contracting with health care entities—individually and as part of a network—and to better understand the partnerships, services, target populations, payment models, opportunities and challenges related to these contracts. Data from the survey help the Business Institute develop targeted and relevant resources for CBOs engaged in this work as well as materials that help raise the visibility of partnerships between CBOs and health care entities. The survey also helps us educate policymakers and health care professionals on the growing capacity of aging and disability CBOs for these partnerships.

Advancing Partnerships: Contracting Between Community-Based Organizations and Health Care Entities, a data brief from Scripps Gerontology Center, summarizes findings from the 2021 CBO-Health Care Contracting Survey, highlighting trends on health care partners, services delivered, payment structures, contracting challenges and partnership experiences.
